NEW! A Conversation Group
A new conversation group meets on Wednesday evenings at 7pm

Starbuck's in Fernandina Beach. Janet Streit and Justin Bell facilitate

the group, and ideas have ranged from open conversation to book

discussions to exploring spiritual practices. The group offers an informal setting to talk about life and faith. You will have the freedom

to express any kooky notion you might have and ask anything you

want without fear that your ideas will be rejected. Invite other for a

time of friendship and lively discussion.

New Vision church was started in 2008 with a vision that is bold and energetic, yet deeply rooted in love of neighbor and God. With
this cornerstone in place, we are building a community of faith
with others who share the same vision. We invite you to join us
in this unique opportunity to be a part of a church that knows
we live in the 21st century.

If you have ever said any of these things – I wish I could talk
in church about what I really believe; I’m not sure what I
believe;
I’m spiritual, but I don’t like to go to church
you are

welcome to come and see what we're about.

Many people find themselves dissatisfied with the church today.

One of the reasons might be that so many people are asked to

enter the church doors without thinking through the Bible and faith

in the same way they do other issues and situations in their lives.

New Vision is a place where all can worship without discrimination and where questions are as welcome as answers. We're committed to a spirituality that doesn’t ask you to check your brain at the door. We are congregational – meaning that decisions are made in our local church and everyone has a voice. We are a lively Christian community committed to each other, the community, and to God.

Join Us!

The founding members of New Vision have staked a claim to

a vision statement that is bold and energetic, yet deeply

rooted in love of neighbor and God.

  • It's new – it began with a core group of ten people
committed to a spirituality that doesn't ask you to check your brain at the door.
  • It has a vision – to be something different when it
comes to church, a place where all can worship without
discrimination and a place where questions are as
    welcome as answers.
  • It's congregational – a common word meaning decisions are made in the local church and everyone has a voice.
  • And yes, it is church – in the best sense of the word – a lively Christian community committed to each other, the community, and to God.

New Vision is a developing new church in covenant
relationship with the United Church of Christ, which is
known throughout our country for its attention to
social justice and its bold and extravagant welcome of
all people.
